Purpose:
A coconut oil compound ointment to treat dandruff and other dry scaly skin disorders of the scalp such as psoriasis, seborrhoeic dermatitis and eczema
Ingredients:
Coal tar 12%
Sulphur 4%
Salicylic acid 2% in a coconut oil ointment base
General:
Therapeutic indications
Coco-Scalp has mild, antipruritic, antiseptic and keratolytic properties. It is indicated in the treatment of common scaly skin disorders of the scalp such as psoriasis, eczema, seborrhoeic dermatitis and dandruff
Warnings:
This product is contraindicated in patients known to be sensitive to any of the ingredients including sulphur and salicylates, coal tar, in the presence of acute local infections or acute pustular psoriasis
Avoid contact with the eyes and wash hands immediately after use
Not suitable for babies and children under 6 years of age
Keep out of reach of children
Discontinue use if irritation develops
If symptoms persist after four weeks, consult your doctor
Coal tar may stain bed linen and jewellery
Dosage:
Apply to scalp using the plastic applicator and leave for one hour and wash out with a mild shampoo, for most conditions daily treatment for 3 to 7 days is recommended until improvement is achieved. Repeated intermittent applications may be used to maintain improvement if required
